Lee - the perfect location for a relaxed family holiday
Lee is a charming North Devon seaside village, the perfect place to shelter from it all on holiday. Tucked away on the North Devon coast, you approach Lee from the main North Devon coast road between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. The road takes you down a narrow road through a stunning wooded valley, which suddenly opens out to reveal a cluster of old cottages tumbling down to the rocky beach. Lee Bay beach is ideal for long days messing about in rock-pools crabbing and shrimping and generally having fun in the sun.
The Cottage's Location
The Cottage is located a short stroll from the heart of the village, which has a wonderful pub, the Grampus Inn, which is both child and dog friendly and provides great food and local beers. So once you have un-packed you need never get in the car again until it’s time to leave.
The Beaches and Coast
Old Maids is also well located for discovering the delights of North Devon. It is close to some of Devon’s finest beaches such as Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe and the spectacular cliff top walks along the South West Coastal footpath between Combe Martin and Lynton.
If you want to escape the quiet retreat of Lee you don’t need to go far to get to the lively seaside towns of Woolacombe or Ilfracombe, where you will find plenty of great pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as the Landmark Theatre.
